St. Petersburg International Gas Forum 2025: KTM Presented Advanced Measurement Solutions
October 7–10, St. Petersburg hosted the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum (SPIGF-2025). NPP KuibyshevTelecom-Metrology actively participated in this professional event, presenting advanced solutions for gas and liquid measurement.
Where and When
Location: EXPOFORUM, St. Petersburg
Booth: No. K 8.1, Pavilion G
Dates: October 7–10, 2025
At the KTM booth, company specialists gave consultations, demonstrated equipment, and discussed solution applications at specific facilities.
Three Exhibition Areas KTM Presented
1. Gas Flowmeter Line for Process and Commercial Metering
In the exhibition, devices for accurate gas flow measurement in transmission and distribution systems were presented.
KTM700 RUS Series Ultrasonic Flowmeters:
- Accuracy: ±0.5%
- Pressure range: up to 45 MPa
- Temperature range:
from -194 to +100 °C for low-temperature versions;
from -70 to +280 °C for high-temperature versions.
- Application: commercial gas metering, gas distribution stations
- Key feature: reliability in Russian climate conditions
- Verification by simulation with maintained error indicators
- Body geometry compensation by pressure and temperature; transmitter extraction without process shut-down
2. Compact Coriolis Flowmeters for Cryogenic and High-Viscosity Media
For working with extreme media:
For cryogenic liquids:
- Liquefied natural gas (LNG) at −196 °C
- Liquid oxygen
- Liquid nitrogen
For high-viscosity liquids:
- Oils
- Heavy oil products
3. Flowmeter Based on Averaging Pitot Tube for Heat Power Engineering
A flowmeter with a Pitot tube for the modernization of heat-transfer accounting systems was presented.
Advantages:
- Reducing energy costs by 5–15%
- Extending equipment service life by 20–30%
- Cutting maintenance costs by a factor of 4
- Installation without process shutdown
- Service life of 18 years, MPI 4 years
Capabilities:
- Compensation for temperature and pressure
- Measurement of gases up to +710 °C and 25 MPa
- Accounting on pipelines with diameter up to 15 m
This solution helps to reduce costs for heat transfer pumping as well as enables high-precision measurements.
All devices are approved by the Ministry of Industry and Trade and included in the government procurement registry.
Sakhalin Case: Practical Application of KTM600 RUS (also KTM700 RUS in the new line)
The exhibition presented a success story of ultrasonic meters KTM600 RUS «Quadro» (also KTM700 RUS in the updated line)
at a gas distribution station in Sakhalin. The project was completed in September 2025.
Facility features:
- Operation in Far East conditions (temperature swings, high humidity)
- ±0.5% accuracy required for commercial gas metering
- Need for operation without production shutdown
