Ultrasonic flow meters
KTM100 RUS
To work with flare gases, the company has developed an ultrasonic flow meter KTM100 RUS. It is designed for process metering of gas, monitoring of flare gas leaks, as well as metering for mass consumption with variable gas composition. At the moment, KTM100 RUS is the only solution that works with process temperatures up to +500°C and temperature dissipation up to +330°C. Our flow meter is not afraid of aggressive environments and is able to work in the conditions of the far north and on offshore platforms. If you have a high content of droplet liquid or mechanical impurities in the process, then KTM100 RUS is your choice! In case of any clogging of the sensors, the device will perform a self-diagnosis.
It often happens that it is not advisable for specialists to be near the device. In this case, the KTM100 remote module can be removed from the installation site of the device at 1000 meters, for example, to the operator’s room or other premises. At the same time, the special design of the device is so safe that it allows tapping into the running process, or removing sensors for simulation testing, cleaning and diagnostics, without stopping the process, even under operating pressure up to 6.3 MPa. It is also possible to calculate the mass flow rate of gas without a density meter using the «Hydrocarbon» method.
The KTM100 RUS has high accuracy: the nominal error of a single–beam meter when measuring the volume flow of gas under operating conditions is from 5 to 1.5%, and a two-beam meter is from 3 to 1%. The nominal error of mass flow calculations is no more than 0.005%.

KTM600 RUS
Another device KTM600 RUS was developed by the company’s designers and is used for process metering of natural gas, gas from a well, in difficult operating conditions, including when calculating the balance of an enterprise for inter-shop exchange. The housing is made of stainless steel, without a single welding seam, with a diameter up to DN1400 inclusive and guarantees absolute safety and reliable operation in gas condensate fields for pressures up to 55MPa. We use corrosion-resistant steel housings, which allows it to be used for cryogenic media up to -194°C. Our device is irreplaceable when taking into account pure gases such as hydrogen and helium, in which the speed of sound is from 1100 to 1500 m/s, which exceeds the speed in natural gas by 3 or more times. Thanks to special-purpose transceivers located in unique seating pockets, it does an excellent job at metering crude and humid gases, hydrates and gases with a high content of mechanical impurities with a sand content. At the same time, special equipment allows you to remove the sensor without stopping the operation process for cleaning, diagnosis or replacement, while saving money and time.
Replacement of sensors under operating pressure
The KTM600 RUS flow meters manufactured by the enterprise have a nominal error depending on the number of beams. For example: four-beam versions are designed for high-precision measurements with a nominal error of ± 0.5%, two-beam versions of ± 0.7 – 1%. For processes with a high condensate content, two-beam versions with a nominal error of ± 2% are used. It should be noted that this range of errors is used by the manufacturer at the request of the technical specification, the customer.

UZS – 1M
To measure the flow rate and volumetric flow rate of liquids, the company has developed the UZS – 1M meter. To date, this is the only ultrasonic flow meter that can be used for metering of high-temperature liquids up to +300°C/450°C/550°C, as well as for LNG (liquefied natural gas) and other liquefied gases with temperatures up to -196°C. Its measured medium can be cold and hot wastewater and reservoir waters, oil and products of its processing, liquefied petroleum gases (LPG), wide fractions of light hydrocarbons (WFLH), and it also measures the consumption of high-viscosity liquids such as fuel oil, tar, bitumen, a jacketed version for heating.
Metering of LNG and other liquefied gases
The flow meter is not afraid of low ambient temperatures and can operate smoothly in the conditions of the far north at temperatures up to -70°C. If your processes require an operating pressure of up to 50 MPa, then in this case, for reliable and safe operation, the manufacturer recommends using the UZS-1M with a one-piece version of the housing. At the moment, Samara production manufactures flanges for different pipeline diameters from 8 mm to 3000 mm.
Very often, it is necessary to install a flow meter on a pipeline at facilities without stopping the flow of liquid in the pipe, in this case it is necessary to use UZS-1M with a lubricator mechanism, it is enough just to close the ball valves and adjust the sensors.
Sometimes companies require metering for two business entities. The quadro version allows you to duplicate data, thanks to two independent meters in one case, for separate metering for the Customer and the Consumer, which significantly reduces costs when buying one case instead of two.
Another feature worth paying attention to when choosing a flow meter is the accuracy of measuring the flow rate. Single-beam versions allow to achieve a nominal error of ± 1%, two-beam versions ± 0.5%, three-beam versions ± 0.28%. Already at the end of 2023, the enterprise plans to launch mass production of a four-beam version of the device for high-precision measurements with a nominal error of ± 0.15%.
KTM RuMASS Coriolis flow meter
In 2021, the enterprise launched mass production of high-precision multiparametric Coriolis flow meters KTM RuMASS with an intelligent self-diagnosis function. Its uniqueness lies in the fact that it can simultaneously measure the mass flow rate, density, and temperature of various liquids and gases. This flow meter is widely used in many industries. It is irreplaceable in the process when it is necessary to keep records of media with temperatures up to +350°C/400°C, for example, bitumen, tar, fuel oil, as well as cryogenic media, including LNG with temperatures up to -196°C.
It is worth noting that RuMASS Coriolis flow meters have a significantly higher maximum flow rate with the same nominal line diameter, compared with the best foreign analogues. This is achieved due to the special design of the separation manifolds, which ensures reduced hydraulic losses by 15-20%, which makes it possible to significantly save on installing a smaller diameter flow meter at costs typical of larger competitors. The availability of modern equipment at the enterprise allows us to manufacture flow meters with mounting dimensions for any pipeline diameter from 8 to 250 mm, according to the customer’s technical requirements.
Of course, the main advantage of KTM RuMASS flow meters is their high accuracy: a verifiable density metering channel with an error of up to ± 0.2 kg/m3 and temperature measurements with an accuracy of ± 1°C. It can also act as a full-fledged density meter with the function of compensating density readings from temperature and pressure with an accuracy of ± 0.2 kg/m3, which significantly saves the customer’s money on the purchase of a density meter.
In order for the measuring instruments to work stably and timely identify and eliminate the problem, the enterprise has developed a diagnostic program Clever Control Tool Software®, which allows you to automatically check the operability of flow meters, monitor the condition of the device, identify mechanical damage, deposits on the walls of measuring tubes.
The calibration interval of the flow meter is 5 years; the service life is 20 years.
